Car into creek injures one

One person was slightly injured earlier today following a one-vehicle accident on Stones Crossing Road, just west of Honey Creek Road in northwest Johnson County.  White River Township and Greenwood firefighters responded to the 8:51 a.m. accident that involved one car sliding off the road, down an embankment, and into a nearby creek.  The driver, and sole occupant, received what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries according to paramedics at the scene.  The patient had to be extricated from the vehicle and brought up out of the creek in a Stokes basket, according to department officials.  The cause of the accident was still under investigation at press time.
