New Battalion Chief vehicle in service

       The White River Township Fire Department recently took delivery of a new Battalion Chief Vehicle that was officially placed in service earlier today.  The 2008 Ford Expedition EL, with its enlarged cargo capacity and other features, will take the place of three current vehicles that were traded in as part of the deal.  The consolidation is part of an effort to both streamline operations as well as trim overhead expenses of fuel and future vehicle acquisition costs.  The new vehicle will be used by the on-duty Battalion Chief for emergency responses to large or complicated incidents.  More information about the vehicle can be found on the department's vehicle page by clicking HERE.
