County declares burning ban
The Johnson County
Commissioners have declared an emergency burning ban throughout all
unincorporated areas of the county, including White River Township. This
ban is in effect immediately and covers all open burning including campfires,
the use of burn barrels, and the burning of vegetation. It does not
however cover grills used for cooking. For more information about the ban,
