Bancroft named top WR fireman

      For the second consecutive year, Dale Bancroft has been named White River Township “Fireman of the Year.” A resident of White River Township 11 years, Bancroft has been a member of the fire department five years. He is an emergency medical technician for Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. He was elected chairman of the department for 1978. Bancroft has also served as training officer for the department. He and his wife, Linda, have three children. Also honored by the White River Township Volunteer Fire Department were Dave Moore and Larry Robinson, 10-year members of the force, and Fire Chief, Robert Wehrman, who has served on the fire department 15 years. Bancroft and Ronnie Hart were recognized for their completion of training classes.
