Sheriff to increase patrols

         The Johnson County Sheriff's Department has stated that it will begin increasing neighborhood patrols of the Highland Park subdivision later this week.  The department has received numerous complaints of speeding automobiles and other reckless vehicular behavior in recent weeks.  Deputies will concentrate their efforts at peak times during the morning and the afternoon as most of the infractions occur during these periods.  They will be watching for and ticketing stop sign runners, speeding cars, moped and ATV violators, and other various infractions.  The patrols are to continue indefinitely.
