Family picnic a success

         The 1st annual family picnic was held earlier today under nearly perfect weather conditions.  The pitch-in picnic was organized by a sub-committee that was headed up by Coleen Ellis and boasted a turnout of about seventy-five adults and children from throughout the neighborhood.  It was the first social get-together since the newly elected board of directors officially took over the association earlier this year.  With plenty of food and sunshine, many new friendships were forged as neighbors gathered in the street and spent the afternoon together.  Thanks to all of those who helped plan and set up this year's event and to Russ Courtney and Brent and Angie Seaman for many of the photos below.
