Lightning strikes guard shack

         The guard shack at the Olive Branch Road entrance was struck by lightning last night during a severe thunderstorm that hit the area.  There were several lightning strikes in the area, but no other damage was reported in the Highland Park subdivision.  The copula on top of the structure was completely destroyed taking a part of the roof with it.  A window was also broken during the event.  The association's insurance company will be out this week to survey the damage so repairs can begin as soon as possible.
