Trip to Utah while in Las Vegas

    What a day it was.  After a three hour drive north and east of Las Vegas into Utah, we finally arrived at our destination at Zion National Park in the southwestern part of the state.  The weather was nearly perfect and everyone had a great time.  We chose one of the more difficult trails and ascended to the top of the maintained path.  From there, we blazed our own trail for about an hour when we realized we were running out of daylight and probably should return.  After leaving the park, we stopped for dinner at a roadside pizzeria and then returned to Las Vegas.
